 KIN - 2 BED ADU

Why Two Bedrooms Changes the Math

 Higher rental income
Two-bedroom units command significantly more per month and attract longer-term, more stable tenants. The extra bedroom pays for itself.
Flex use — sleep + work
One bedroom to live in. One to work from. A setup that matches how people actually live today — and what tenants are actively looking for.
 Highest short-term rental yield
Two-bedroom Airbnb listings in Ontario outperform one-bedroom on nightly rate and occupancy. The open layout photographs well and shows well.
Real space for two people
At 144 sq ft each, both bedrooms are genuinely livable — not a compromise. Two adults sharing this home aren't in each other's way.
Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC)
Building for an aging parent (65+) or a family member eligible for the Disability Tax Credit? This two-bedroom model qualifies for a refundable 15% credit on up to $50,000 in eligible costs — up to $7,500 back at tax time, even if you owe zero tax.

 What Quantum Homeowners Are Saying...

We lose power often where we live, but the house holds its temperature so well that we don’t have to worry. Even during extreme heat, without air conditioning, the house stayed comfortable.

The build process was surprisingly efficient. Seeing the panels come together so quickly, and being enclosed early, gave us confidence. Even during storms and power outages, the house holds its heat and stays comfortable

Things didn’t always go as planned, but we always felt they had our backs. Whether resourcing alternate materials, working with subcontractors, or taking on more work, the whole team was talented and friendly.

From a cost perspective, it was basically the same as building a traditional house at the time, but the efficiency is far better. Everything here is electric, and we only have one bill. In the winter it’s around $250 a month, and in the summer closer to $125—and that includes the spa. Before, we were paying thousands a year in propane alone.
